Sports Day

DPSM found it fitting to encourage staff to excercise in order to keep fit therefore an invitation was extended to various department  to come and battle it out i n varous sporting activities  at the Bank of Botswana ground on the 2nd  March 2012.Six department honoured the invitation as follows,DPSM being the host,Auditor General,Ombudsman, IEC, DCEC and Botswana Public Service College.


DPSM commemorate Month of Youth

The Directorate of Public Service Management organised the commemoration of youth against AIDS at the Botswana Defence Force baracks in Mogoditshane on the 16 March 2012.This year's theme is take responsibility Take Action.The event attracted five government departments which falls under the Ministry of State President being DPSM and Botswana Public service College,AG's, IEC,DCEC and the Auditor General.It was a fun filled day packed with varrious activities which were kick started by the  debate on a safe male circumcision motion and various ball sports.

DPSM GOES AN EXTRA MILE


Mr Mokgweetsi Masisi the Minister of Presidential Affairs and Public Administration applause DPSM for an undertaking that was ideal for achieving one of the vision 2016 pillars of Just and Caring Nation. This was said during DPSM ground breaking ceremony and Community Service Day in Mochudi last week. The Minister appeal to all Batswana to continue extending their helping hand in community projects to support and assist the less privileged as we are all affected by destitution.

DPSM had embarked on a project to construct a house for a destitute family in Mochudi Makakatlela ward. The Minister also urged those that benefited from such gestures to also participate in programmes geared towards helping them. He therefore concluded by saying that what DPSM staff did was commendable as it is out of love and goodwill as staff will not be compensated for it.

Mr Gilbert Mangole, the Kgatleng West Member of Parliament highly praised the Directorate staff for helping a destitute family in his constituency. Mr Mangole said their gesture showed their commitment to go an extra mile in assisting the nation towards achieving the ideals of the national vision. For her part, the Deputy Director Ms Kebonye Moepeng said DPSM have devoted to use their community service days to complete the project for which they have begun by moulding bricks and are now at construction stage. The Deputy Director promised that the project would be completed in not more than a year since they have demolished the existing structure which was not firm to stand harsh weather.
