Vision and Mission Statements for the Recruitment and Placement Division

We commit to continuously provide a cost effective, customer and technology-driven service to ensure consistency in the implementation of recruitment and placement policies within the public service, and to ensure national socio-economic development.

Purpose

The overall purpose of this division is:

"...to develop recruitment policies and provide professional guidance and support to ministries and departments in order to attract and obtain the right type of manpower to fill the approved Public Service posts, and to ensure that entry into the Public Service is determined primarily on the basis of merit and full regard to the efficiency of the public service"

 

 

 

Functions

In order to achieve the above purpose, the division performs the following functions:

1.1    Recruitment Policy

  1. Recruitment Policy Leadership and Direction:

     

  2. Monitor Public Service Vacancy and Recruitment Status:

     

  3. Recruitment System and Procedures:

     

  4. Induction and Orientation of New Staff Joining the Public Service:

     

  5. Appeals on Recruitment Matters:

  1. Localisation of the Public Service

  2. Management and review of training agencies' contracts and agreements;

  3. Ensuring effective management of the Training and Human Resource Development Division;

Staff Establishment

The Recruitment and Placement Division has staff establishment of 17 posts as at 30th April, 2007.
